In the movie Beyond Belief, Jack Canfield, author of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” compared thoughts and feelings to a very powerful radio transmitter sending and receiving signals. This is the mechanism for the law of attraction. Like attracts like, so vibrations you send out with your thoughts and feelings (intended or unintended) are received back to you. Think of it as a natural feedback loop. Another way of saying this was summed up nicely by Earle Nightengale when he said “you get what you think about most of the time.”
How quickly you manifest something into your experience is a function three things:
- The intensity or power of your transmissions
- The frequency of your transmissions
- The feelings you have about your desired outcome(s)
If you think about something frequently and with great intensity, then whatever you think about will manifest very quickly. However, it is important to check in with your feelings when you are thinking about what you want. If you have feel bad and have feelings such as: sadness, overwhelm, depression, stress, anxiousness, anger, fear, jealousy, judgment, etc., then when you are thinking about what you want the signals you will put out into the universe will be counter intentions and they’ll block whatever it is you are trying to create.
That is why one of the first things you need to focus on is “feeling good now.” When you think about your dreams, goals, desires, it is important that you feel good. If you feel bad or anxious, then chances are you do not believe you will attain your desired outcome. In future articles we will describe various techniques and ways you can do to feel better now.
Before selecting a desired outcome such as more money, a relationship, improved health, etc. check in with your feelings and ask yourself how you feel about that desired outcome. On a scale from one to ten, what is your belief that you will attain that outcome? If your belief level for an outcome is less than an eight, it is recommended you choose another outcome which you believe you can achieve, especially when you first start the process.
