Jack Canfield on Attraction – Interview Excerpt from Beyond Belief

Excerpt from the interview with Jack Canfield for the film Beyond Belief:

Basically out thoughts are sending out signals like a radiowave and those radiowaves are basically saying I want things to come back into my life that match the vibration of that.  So if I’m in fear and resignation, then I’m going to attract more things to be in fear about and be resigned to.  If I’m in optimism thinking positive thoughts, then I’m going to attract things that will allow me and encourage me and reinforce that sense of positivity,  If  I’m in a state of gratitude I’m going to attract more things to be grateful for.  If I’m in a state of fear then I will attract more things to be afraid of.

The law of attraction to me means that I attract things that are similar vibration to what I’m putting out, simple way of saying it is like attracts like.  Now in physics we know that opposites attract, but in law of attraction what happens is, anything I’m vibrating at, anything out there in universe that is similar vibration will be attracted to me.  It’s actually law of harmonics so that if we have a piano in one room and we hit a C chord on the piano, if there were another piano perfectly tuned in the room, those same 3 or 4 strings on that piano would start to vibrate as well

So by law of attraction what happens is the feeling tone we have will attract and cause to vibrate at a similar level and move towards me.   I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been on an airplane and the thing that I’ve been thinking about, the next day, someone will be sitting by me on a plane or I’ll be sitting next to them in a restaurant or I’ll meet them in a meeting, and they will be exactly the solution I’m looking for.

My favorite example is when I decided I wanted to go to the Olympics in China, and I just started thinking that thought and visualizing that.  Two days later I was speaking at a convention in Vegas for a multi-level marketing company, and this guy walks up to me clearly Chinese and he says, “you’re Jack Canfield aren’t you?”, and I said yeah, he said, “Have you ever wanted to speak in China?” and I said yeah I do, more importantly I  want to go to the Olympics.   He said, “Here’s the deal.   I run a training company in china we would love to have you come speak, and my brother-in-law is on the Chinese Olympics committee.  I’m sure I can get you tickets.”

And that happens to me more and more often the more I get into a connection to source energy, connection to God however you want to call that.  The law of attraction just keeps attracting everything that I need to live the life of my dreams.

Being clear about what you want and having focus is critical to getting what you want. One of my mentors was a man named Buckminster Fuller.  He was an Einstein of our age back in the 50s, 60s, 70s and my favorite quote of his is: Clarity is power!

When you have clarity about what you want it’s like a laser beam.  You know right now, I’m being illuminated by a lot of light (in the room)  but they are very diffused and so those lights don’t have much power.  But if we take those lights and we put them in phase and we aim them like a laser beam we can cut through metal.

So the more focused we are, just like a magnifying glass focusing the rays of the sun, many of us as kids would start a fire with leaves by putting a magnifying glass on it, or a piece of paper.  We took the broad spectrum of the frequency of the sunrays and we focused and narrowed it down, and it becomes much more powerful.

Crazy New Way to Increase Sales from Zero

In my book, “Zero Limits,” I talk about the unusual therapist who helped heal an entire hospital ward of mentally ill criminals — without seeing any of them.

I’ve since learned his method for healing, which involves “cleaning” yourself of all negativity in order to see change in others.

It seems bizarre, but when you take care of your own issues, they disappear in other people.

The whole idea is to love the problems away. You do it by saying “I love you,” and a few other statements, non-stop. I’ve been doing it for two years now and my life is astonishing. I live in an almost moment-by-moment state of bliss.

Once I learned this method, I started to use it on other things besides illness. Since I’m a practical metaphysician and an entrepreneur, I wanted to see if this wild method would work on sales and other bottom line results.

Whenever I would write an article — much like this one — I would send love into it.

Whenever I would write another book — like my new one, “Zero Limits” — I would keep saying “I love you” in my mind.

What I noticed is my emails and articles would get read and distributed to *millions* of people.

And my book, “Zero Limits,” became an Amazon bestseller — six months *before* it was published.

But I didn’t stop there in my testing.

Because I want to be sure this method works for others and not just me, I taught it to my close friends.

Bill Hibbler, coauthor with me of the book “Meet and Grow Rich,” was skeptical. But he borrowed a pre-publication copy of my book, “Zero Limits,” read it, and started loving his products and his list of subscribers. Here’s what he said:

“Sales for Jan 1-4 were 41.39% higher than Dec 1-4. During the four day period in January, I didn’t mail my list or launch any new promotion during that time. All I did was clean while reading your book and throughout the day.”

Bill went on to tell me he saw sales increase from sites like create ultimate ebooks  which he wasn’t promoting *at all*.

How is this possible?

How can “cleaning” yourself with a mantra like “I love you” make a difference in your sales?

It appears that there is nothing “out there.”The entire world is a projection of what you feel inside.

So, if you feel love, you will attract love.  Because love contains gratitude, you attract more things to be grateful for. This is the essence of my book, “The Attractor Factor,” and of course of the movie, “The Secret.”

You get what you feel.

That’s it.

At heart I think you (I) just want love. Well, so does everyone else. When you say “I love you” inside yourself, you cleanse yourself and you radiate an energy that others feel.

The result: more sales.

Still skeptical?

Look at it this way:

Even if this whole method seems totally crazy to you, what harm can come from you saying “I love you” in your mind as you make calls, write emails, deliver pitches, and go about your day?

If nothing else, you’ll have better feeling days.

Do You Make These Law of Attraction Blunders?

Learning about the Law of Attraction can be one of the grandest blessings you can receive in your life. When you learn the true “cause” of your experience of reality, and that you can actually ALTER that reality in any way that you wish, it opens a door of Infinite Possibility!

After all, imagine that any level of wealth can be yours! Your life can be enriched with the most fulfilling relationships imaginable! You can spend your time doing only those things you love, and in return, experience abundance that seems impossible from the outside looking in!

However, too many people learn only the “basics” of the Law of Attraction and as a result make 10 common mistakes that make it appear as though this universal law does not apply to them, and in fact gives them results completely OPPOSITE of what they desire.

Before going into these mistakes, let’s review what the Law of Attractin actually is. It’s deceptively simple: Energy attracts Like Energy.

Broken down a little more, this means that everything in this Universe (physical and non-physical) IS Energy that vibrates at various frequencies. And it is the nature of the vibrations of this Energy to “attract” themselves to vibrations of a similar frequency. In other words, one “cluster” of Energy attracts itself to other “clusters” of Energy in which it is in vibrational resonance.

This happens on both a very small and very large scale. For our purposes, we are talking about the very common idea that our “thoughts create our reality”.

This simple statement leads to people making the following mistakes and assumptions, because while thought IS Energy, and it DOES attract, it’s not always so straightforward.

How many of these mistakes apply to you?

1. Believing that Positive Thinking is enough to attract what you want.

The reality is that many people use various forms of positive thinking on a conscious level (such as affirmations), only to cancel out those thoughts on a subconscious level.

For example, telling yourself “I am lean, healthy, and energetic” when the mirror says something different, usually results in your subconscious saying, “No you’re not!!”. Further, this subconscious rebuttal is generally highly charged with emotion, and thus a very powerful attractor.

Therefore, if left unchecked, the use of affirmations can give you a very strong OPPOSITE result of those things you are affirming, because at a much stronger level of conviction, you are canceling the positive message with a negative one.

2. Asking yourself, “Well, where is it?”

People ARE impatient. When they learn about the Law of Attraction, they often have high hopes that they will simply make their lists of desires, cut out pictures, or in some other way design their reality, and then after a couple of days, weeks, or even months, they’re looking around saying, “Well?? Where is it??”.

The problem isn’t that the Universe can’t deliver quickly. The problem is that you were never REALLY vibrating in a place of trust that what you desire is yours. You are more “testing the theory”, then becoming impatient when the Universe doesn’t deliver on your time schedule.

What you may not realize is that from the beginning of the process, there has been resistance. There has been a lack of “allowing” in terms of how and when your desire will be fulfilled, which shows itself through your expression of impatience.

Which leads to mistake number 3:

3. Determining ahead of time, HOW and WHEN you will attract what you want.

The law of attraction works because and when you allow it to. The nature of the Universe is infinite. Our conscious minds are not. When we have a desire, we very often tend to “figure out” how the Universe is going to deliver – be it through our jobs, the lottery, or some other source in particular.

When you attach yourself to one particular outcome, you are cutting off an infinite (literally) number of other ways your desire can be attracted.

4. Allowing your emotions to be led by “external evidence”.

This is where people tend to give up. Because their experience of reality is different than what they are trying to attract, they allow themselves to feel frustrated, which of course, only acts to attract more of what will frustrate them.

This all starts because there is, on some level, a basic lack of trust that the Law of Attraction actually has scientific basis. Because after all, if you have TOTAL trust/faith, then your vibration will reflect that and two things will happen: 1) Your desire will come to you as quickly as possible, and 2) You literally won’t give external reality a second thought, because you’ll realize that what you’re looking at now is simply a result of what you’ve been attracting to that point, and that change is on the way provided you hold your NEW vibration consistently.

5. Not taking care of your limiting beliefs that run at a deeper level.

As mentioned earlier, you have a lifetime of limiting beliefs that have helped to create the reality that you are now trying to change. You have manifested everything around you based on these beliefs, and the feelings associated with those beliefs.

These beliefs run so deep, that you hardly consider them “beliefs”. They occur to you as just “how things are”. Further, these beliefs have very specific emotions attached to them, and chances are you can FEEL these emotions on some level every time one of these beliefs shows themselves.

How will this show up?

Let’s suppose you’re wanting to manifest a large amount of money. When you think about that, there might be a certain emotion that immediately comes up for you. This might be associated with a thought like, “I’ll never be able to attract that. It’s too much.”. This might be connected to a feeling that you don’t DESERVE that amount, or you might feel frustrated with the “bigness” of it.

Either way, these negative emotions are the very energy that is REPELLING what you want! When you learn to RELEASE those emotions, you clear the way for the Universe to deliver what you desire, whatever it is. But until and unless you eliminate the resistance, you will not be in vibrational alignment with what you desire, and thus you can NOT experience it!

There are several “releasing” methods available that can quickly and easily eliminate these energetic blocks.

A New Way to Easily Achieve Your Goals

I’ve learned at least two things about achieving goals: There is an easy way and a hard way.

The hard way is to work night and day, stay obsessed, rarely sleep, and never give up.

Since everyone talks about the hard way, I want to address the easy way. After all, why struggle if you don’t have to?

I’ve used the easy way to create bestselling books, lose 70 pounds in 8 months, find my ideal mate, get healthy, increase my wealth, and much more.

Obviously, it works.

Here’s the formula in brief:

1. Be grateful for what you already have.

2. Playfully declare what you would like to have with positive emotion, feeling as if it is already achieved.

3. Act on the nudges and opportunities that appear.

That’s it. In my latest book, “The Attractor Factor,” I explain a 5-step formula for getting what you want. It’s useful for those times when you don’t feel grateful, or can’t decide on what you want, or don’t understand the concept of letting go while taking inspired action. It’s also helpful when you have issues about money, or deserving, or feel in any way blocked from your goals.

But the bottom-line for me is this: Declare what you would like with no attachment and plenty of good feeling, feel grateful for what you already have, and act on what appears. The result will be the manifestation of a happy life.

If you’re reading this, you’re most likely living like a king or queen compared to people in third world countries. You may even be living better than kings or queens from history, as they often lived in cold, violent, frightful times. You’ve got it made.

There’s magic in saying “Id love to—(fill in the blank) but I won’t die if I don’t have it.” Since the world is simply energy taking form, when you declare you want something, you begin to attract it. But when you say you need something, the need pushes it away. You want to select your desire, and feel the joy of already having it, without feeling any desperation. Need will push it away; Desire will attract it. If you feel as if you *already* have it, then you *will* have it.

3. Act on your opportunities and intuitions.

You may get offers, calls, or who knows what. Act on them. You never know what will lead you to your goal. Your ego cannot see the big picture. Intuition and opportunities will come to you from the larger view, and your job is to act on them. As you do, you will be taken to your goal, even when it appears you are being blocked away. Trust is key.

Is that really all there is to it?

Again, the fuller procedure in “The Attractor Factor” will take care of any snags in the process, but the basic process is simple. Let’s walk through it:

1. Look around your room. What are you grateful for? Make a list. Get into the authentic feeling of true gratitude. In other words, be happy now. You don’t need a reason to be happy. But if you want one, find something, anything, to be grateful for right now. When you’re grateful, you’re in a mental place that will attract more to be grateful for.

2. Look around the playground of your mind. What would you like to have, do, or be? What would be fun? Write it down. As you do, feel what it would be like to already have it now. Pretend you won the lotto. What would you want for yourself or others? What would be fun? The key is playful non-attachment while experiencing its completion *now.*

3. Now pay attention. As you go about your life, listen to your hunches and act on them, and pay attention to the opportunities and act on them. You never know what will take you in the direction of your goal. Your job is to take inspired action. You may have some work to do in this step, but the work will be from your heart, and will take you in the direction of getting your goal.

Why not go through the steps right now?

Write them down, experience them, and then check back in a few weeks and see how they are doing. You may surprise yourself by how easily and quickly your goals are achieved.

Stewart Emery Interview Excerpt: Success Built to Last

Well, it’s a very personal thing.  We interviewed for a book called Success Built to Last, three or four hundred of the most successful people in the world.  Of course we did the requisite billionaires, people like Gates, Barford, Jobs, Sir Richard Branson, and people who you might not have heard of who were changing the world.  And people you would have heard of, people like Maya Angelou, and Desmond TuTu and the Dalai Lama.  What we wanted to do was find out what they had in common, and the first thing we noticed is that they all had a very personal definition of success.

If you look success up in the dictionary it starts out ok.  It says the achievement of goals, and that’s good, and then it goes on to say especially conspicuous attainment of fame, wealth and power.  And we found the world’s most successful people never chased after that.  They chased after getting really good at doing something that really mattered to them, and that was the secret.  That’s how they defined success.

We asked these people, how do they find out what it was that mattered to them, and they had various stories about it, but most of them said when they were a little child, there was something that always peaked their curiosity that they wanted to pursue, or they were infatuated about, and it wouldn’t go away.

Sometimes they went on to do what their mother wanted them to do or their father, and this little voice deep inside them would keep whispering to them in the middle of the night, demanding attention, and when they started paying attention to it, and investing time in it, that was how they found what it was that mattered to them.

You know I inevitably get asked, “Stewart what did you learn from doing all these interviews?  What did you learn from writing the book?”   Well I don’t know about you but I used to be a founding member of perfection’s anonymous.  I just was into perfectionism.  And I didn’t understand how that closed down your creativity.

So I noticed these people, when we talked to them, they got very excited about the mistakes they made, and they make more mistakes than the rest of us.  It’s amazing, if you just listen to them talk about their mistakes, you’d think they were losers.  But here’s the key: They never used their mistakes as a reason to distrust themselves.

That was a big one for me.  Because, you look back at your own life, I’m sure you’ll find if you go to do something you’ll find a little voice that’s nattering away telling you about all the times you did something that didn’t work before, and we don’t’ realize that people like Charles Schwab went broke six times before he succeeded in a Schwab.com.

You look at people like Sir Richard Branson huge string of failures, and Michael Dell told us that the beginning of Dell, was one experiment after another, most of which didn’t work.  But they persevered, and they succeeded, because they quickly learned a mistake was a mistake.  Then they looked what there was to learn from it, and they went on with the next thing.

So a lot of experiments, and then never saw a failure as a reason to distrust themselves.  Big idea!!

This idea of finding your life’s purpose is a very popular topic these days.  Curiously, the people we spoke to, didn’t talk about that so much.  They talked about finding what it was that mattered to them, what it was that had meaning to them.  They kind of thought of meaning as something they invested in an activity or a process or a pursuit that they were passionate about.

So the first thing you gotta be passionate about looking outwards into the world.  You gotta be willing to be excited, to throw away the shackles as it were.  Find out what lights your light as they say.

And then the other step to it is, to get good at it.

Well first you do have to love it, because when you set out to get good at something, if you don’t love it you won’t get thru the tough times.  It’s the love, it’s the passion that keeps you going.

Success and the fame and the money if it came was a serendipitous consequence, but never the goal.  The goal was always: I have to be passionate about it. The goal always was: I wanna get good at it. The goal always was: I need to do what matters to me. The goal always was: I define success in my own personal terms.

Well our thoughts are the exact thing that create our reality, and it happens like this; First we have a thought and that thought produces a vibration that creates a feeling which creates an even more intense frequency that goes out into the universe and down into our unconscious.  So on the internal level our thoughts are affecting our unconscious mind creating our beliefs.  They are programming a particular part of our brain called the reticular activating system.

For example right now you are not thinking of your right foot but as soon as I say right foot, that comes up into your awareness.  So your brain is constantly filtering out more than it’s taking in, and it’s our thoughts and our beliefs that affect that part of our brain that acts like a filter.  So if I believe it’s a dog eat dog world and I think that thought and I go to the airport I’m not going to see people being nice to each other, I’m going to see people being negative toward each other.

Also, if I think thoughts over and over and over, I begin to create images in the subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind will do anything it can to bring those images into reality, it will think of creative ideas.  It will notice things in the environment that will help achieve those intentions and those goals and those thoughts we think.

Our beliefs are very critical in terms of manifesting what we want in life. I define a belief as simply a thought you think over and over, and what we know about thoughts is every time we think a thought, it will actually aggregate more similar thoughts to it.  This is how belief systems form.  This is how someone becomes republican or democrat or conservative or liberal or Catholic or Jew, is you just think these thoughts over and over and they are reinforced and you attract more of those same kind of thoughts to you.

Now a belief is simply a set of thoughts that you think over and over and over, and what we know from law of attraction is when you have a thought, you attract other similar thoughts to it.  That’s why it’s important to focus on what you want.  Intend what you want, think about it, read about it, talk about it.  More people will be attracted to you to talk about that.  More articles, and newspaper articles and magazines and books will flow into your life and you’ll start noticing more things that support your point of view.

For instance, if someone grows up in a liberal family and they hear a liberal point of view or a conservative point of view or a democratic or republican or Christian or Muslim or whatever it might be, you’re constantly hearing thoughts related to that and attracting and spending time with people, so you begin to be focused into a belief system.

The problem with a belief system is that it could be true or not and a lot of times people ask, “well what should I believe?” Here’s the critical point.  Choose beliefs that support you in having what you want.  If you want to have money and you want to have it easily then start believing and choosing to believe that it’s easy to make money. Read books like Do What You Love the Money Will Follow, so that you begin to create a thought form and a belief system that allows you to have what you want.

Beliefs can support you in getting what you want, but they can also get in the way of getting what you want.

There are a lot of things that stop people from manifesting what they want in their life. The first thing is, most people are not clear about what they want.  They’ve never made a decision.  You know, I teach that you should make a list of 101 goals that you want to achieve before you die.

I have a friend John Goddard who made list at the age of 15, made a list of 127 goals that he wanted to achieve.  He’s now in his 70s and has achieved 115 of them. in his 70s he just finished polo lessons. This guy is the real Indiana Jones.  He’s lived a very intriguing life, gone up every river in the, world, climbed to the top of a pyramid, read the entire Britannica Encyclopedia cover to cover.  He started out very quickly, he said I don’t want to grow up like all my parents friends, sit around the table and say, God wish I had, wish I’d taken off time to go to Europe before college etc.  He said, “I want to be able to grow up and say I did it.”

So clarity is really important.  Get a set of goals.  Be real clear what you want.

The other thing is to trust what you’re attracted to.  Trust the images and desires and preferences that you have and be willing to pursue those.

If you don’t have clarity then what happens is you’re going to be pulled off by other people’s goals. I always say people without goals end up working for other people who have them. So you want to have a vision for your life, and then allow that vision and those goals to guide you, and you want to come back to those on a regular basis.  I review my goals at least everyday by looking at my vision board, my affirmations, my goal list, and I sit with my family at least quarterly to review what we’re doing. So you gotta have clarity.

Another thing that happens for people that gets in their way, is they have fear.  They’re afraid if they achieve a certain thing then something will happen, like if I have a lot of money then I won’t be able to trust my friends.  They are afraid of rejection.  I always teach people that rejection is a myth.  If I ask you to have dinner with me tonight and you say no, the world would say ooh, Jack got rejected.  What I say is that I didn’t have anyone to eat dinner with before I asked you. I don’t have anyone to eat dinner with now.  My life didn’t get worse.

And so the fear of rejection, the fear of loss, the fear of looking foolish, the fear of not knowing what you’re doing, all of those things will stop you from manifesting your vision and your goals.

Doubts. Doubts are really killer.  Here’s why.  Many of you have seen the Bose noise reduction headphones, I think Panasonic has them now.  There are many brands.  How do they work?  You put them on your ears, on an airplane, and babies are crying 5 rows away, but you stop hearing it.  The jet noise outside, you stop hearing it.   Why is that?

Well, the sound is coming in as a waveform, and then the Bose system hears that sound and creates an opposite waveform.  And these two waveforms collapse each other into a flat line.  So when you send an intention out into the world, remember it’s a frequency and a waveform.  Then what happens is when you have doubts it’s the opposite of that intention, it collapses it.  That frequency loses any energy to go out and to attract to you what it is you want.

It would be like calling up a pizza company and saying, “Hi I want an anchovy pizza with cheese and tomatoes and mushrooms and onions and whatever”, and then you call them back 5 minutes later and you go, “Hi are you working on my pizza, are you really going to deliver my pizza, are you sure?”

Well if you did that 5 or 6 times you’d be on their caller ID list and they’d stop taking your order. It kind of works the same way in the universe.  So you have to have a positive belief and trust, and faith it will happen.  Faith is basically belief based on things unseen. You just have to make a declaration. “ This is what I’m going to do.”

The other thing that stops people from achieving and manifesting their vision is that they don’t take action, an important part of belief.  See I teach you have to ask, believe that it’s possible, release it to the universe, and then have a vibrational match to receive that which you want.  So part of belief is taking action.

In other words if I was running a seminar and I said I can teach you to levitate and charged $2000 and we’ll do one tonight and you could show up, how many of you would really sign up?  Chances are you wouldn’t.  Why not?  Because you don’t believe that it’s possible to levitate.  And if you don’t believe its possible you won’t take the action necessary to do it.

So basically, action is a statement that I believe, because I wouldn’t expend energy if it wasn’t something I believed in.

So we have a lot of things that we want, but we’re not taking action.  And what I think is critical once you start applying the law of attraction, you start intending what you want and working toward it, what happens is you are going to start having impulses, spiritual intuitions, inner guidance that says you should do this thing.  You know it could be as simple as gee I ought to pull off the freeway and go to Starbucks here and get a cup of coffee.  For all you know, if you follow that intuition, you just avoided an accident up the freeway.  Or maybe you went around a traffic jam.  You have to trust that there’s something greater called spirit, god, source, infinite intelligence, the quantum field, that knows more than you do about how to get you what you want.

So once I make that commitment and I get an impulse to act I need to act on it.

Another thing that’s critical to manifesting that most people don’t do, is they don’t persevere.  There’s going to be rejection. There are going to be blockages.  There are going to be difficulties and mini-failures along the way.  When we did Chicken Soup for the Soul we went to New York to sell that book.  Rejected by all 22 publishers the two or three days we were there, we then went to the Book Expo America and were turned down by another 120 publishers.  Now if we had given up after 100 and said, well this was not supposed to happen, I probably wouldn’t be sitting here today because no one would know who I am.  But the reality is, we went 144 rejections before we got a yes. And so perseverance is critical

And now that book series has over 100, whoa, over 200 titles that we are up to and 115 million copies in print in 47 languages.  So perseverance is important

Could Your Life Be Better?

Let me ask you a question: Could your life be better? If you were to commit to massively enhancing the areas that are most important to you, could your life improve, maybe even dramatically? If you know there’s more for you, then you know what you’ve got to do. But what if you don’t?

All of us have unwanted thoughts, emotions and behaviors that we want to get rid of. Maybe we have repeated thoughts like “I’ll never lose this weight” or “I’ll never meet the right man or woman to marry” or maybe we repeatedly feel sad or get really angry and blow up at our spouse or kids again and again…

Maybe we have behaviors that we keep repeating like overeating or cheating on our spouse or gambling or some other behavior like sabotaging ourselves before a great success.

We also have things we’d like to replace:  those unwanted thoughts, emotions and behaviors,  with those that are positive and good for us.

It that’s not enough to handle, we also have goals in general that we want to achieve for our future. Maybe we want to retire in a few years but our finance look grim, or we want to get married but there are no prospects, or we want our children to be successful but we don’t know how to assist them.

Time Line Therapy® techniques were developed by Dr. Tad James in the early part of the 1980’s. At that time Dr. James was already a Master Trainer of NLP, and during his trainings, working with thousands of people, he noticed a common question that women and men asked equally: “When you really have a fear of failure, or fear of intimacy, or fear to change something in your career, or fears surrounding sex, or maybe even phobic fears like fear of eating broccoli-if you could do something to change this so that it never bothers you again, what would you do?”   These questions provided Dr. James with the drive and motivation to create Time Line Therapy® techniques.

Christine de Waart (name changed) is from Perth in WA. She is a vivacious, intelligent, cheerful and hard working woman. Before she learned Time Line Therapy® she was involved in two abusive relationships. Both relationships made her feel powerless: they made her feel really bad about herself.

She had very low self esteem as a result of these relationships, and she was quite overweight. Life is truly fabulous for her now. She could have been devastated for the rest of her life, but put herself together and made it though successfully.

Time Line Therapy® can really help people break through any obstacles created by negative thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and create what they really want and deserve in their lives. Time Line Therapy® techniques are based on a Time Line with your entire history = your joys and fears, your happiness and sorrow, you loves and hates, your limiting and empowering decisions. Ask yourself: where is my past? And notice that you can actually point to a direction. It could be either behind you, or to your right or left or in some direction in relation to your body. Now do the same for your future. Trust your intuition. In fact, people often say “my past is behind me”, describing in words how they store time. Dr. Tad James wrote the book “Time Line Therapy and the Basis of Personality” in 1987 and it was published in 1988 and ever since this technique has proven to be a vital tool for assisting people to let go of all their unwanted thoughts, emotions and behaviors and to create the future they want.

Stop and think about it for a moment, what would be the impact on you, if you could release all of the anger in your past memories, while preserving the learning experiences from those events. Or how about the sadness, fear, guilt or any other negative emotion?

What if you could go back and re-do any old decision that you make in the past, and decide in a new way – a way that supported who you want to be now?
